Rulle arrived in the uk early 2006 along with his sister Trud he blossomed in quarantine and quickly after his leave he started to win top awards with many bobs and high places at ch shows including a B.O.B he also won his stud book number Rulle was making a nice young dog when one day he had a bout if diarrhoea after a couple of days with no food just fluids it was getting worse so along to the vet we went no high temperature not ill he was checked over and given some medicine to stop the diorrhea 24hs later he was passing more so back to the vets where stool and blood samples xrays were taken by this time the weight was falling off him, the tests showed nothing so we were refered to the specialists in Manchester we went the following day on arrival they went through his notes from our vets and asked would we leave him with them for a couple of hours and they would re run all the previous tests again just in case something had been missed we went for some lunch and went back within the hour where the specialist was waiting for us she told us she had done no tests only a scan and she did not like what she thought she had seen, she asked for permission to take a biopsy of his spleen we agreed and within a short time a courier was waiting to take the sample to the lab at leeds, she told us she would have the results back the following day and she would call us,the following day she called and said she was sorry but Rulle had multi organ cancer and there was nothing they could do apart from put him on steroids which may give him 3 months or to have chemotherapy and we may have him for 6 months at the most, we were heart broken here we was with a very nice dog who was so loving and a joy to own and live with who showed no sign of illness but was just wasting away with all the diorrhea he was passing we made the decision to not let him suffer any more and he was PTS that night the day before his 2nd birthday
