Layla was from our litter, born in July 2009. She was the only female from the litter. We were delighted to see that she was born as a cream girl and knew that she was going to turn into a beautiful Leonberger. With our good friends Roger and Julie Westwood, Layla went to live with them, and her Brother ‘Deny' and Mother ‘Gemma'
Julie has shown Layla from early age and has done very well with her at the shows attended.
At City of Birmingham in September 2011, Kerry began handling Layla where they won, 3rd in Limit Bitch. The weekend after at Richmond at just their second show, Kerry and Layla then won 1 st Limit Bitch, and BITCH CC under top UK all rounder judge, Zena Thorn-Andrews.
Layla has been consistent in the show ring during her campaign with Kerry and in just nine shows working together (from September 2011 to March 2012) they have gained, 2 CCs, 1 Best of Breed, 4 First's in Limit Bitch, 3 Second's in Limit Bitch, 1 Third in Limit Bitch and 1 Fourth in Limit Bitch at Crufts 2012. We only hope and wish for her 3 rd and crowning UK CC to come very soon.
